Bonville Nursery

April 30, 2025

The Challenge

Bonville Nursery is a community-focused plant nursery dedicated to climate-conscious gardening, specialising in native, waterwise, and edible plants. After purchasing the nursery post-COVID, owners Cho and Zach were eager to grow their business but needed guidance in several key areas:

  • Website: UX, SEO, mobile optimisation and content updates

  • Marketing: Social media ads, visibility, and event promotion

  • Operations: Streamlined POS and inventory management

  • Service Expansion: Building out garden service offerings

  • Collaborations: Leveraging community and local business connections

Our Approach

Digital Solutions Advisor Dana visited Bonville Nursery for an on-site strategy session. Over a walk-and-talk through the nursery and coffee at the Lazy Daisy Coffee Bar, they mapped out a comprehensive action plan. The focus was on immediate priorities with a clear pathway for future growth.

The Solutions & Impact

1. Website Overhaul

Bonville Nursery’s website was revamped to improve usability, mobile optimisation, SEO, and to highlight the nursery’s unique offerings—like contract growing, garden services, and events.

2. Marketing Unlocked

We untangled Bonville’s Meta Business Manager, ensuring the correct ad account was linked. With paid social campaigns now running smoothly, the nursery is effectively promoting workshops and events, driving real attendance.

3. Local Collaboration Boost

Cho has taken collaboration to the next level—partnering with yoga instructors, local trades, and running both free and paid workshops. These initiatives have significantly increased community engagement and foot traffic.

4. Service Expansion

Women-led garden services were added to the business, including consultation, maintenance, and design/installation. Each service now has a dedicated landing page with tailored enquiry forms—making it easier for customers to book and boosting revenue.

5. Smarter POS & Inventory

With help setting up a streamlined POS system (Square), Cho introduced a colour-coded, simplified labelling system. This saved over $1,000 in equipment costs and countless hours in manual data entry and barcoding.

What’s Next?

Bonville Nursery is now thriving—with stronger digital systems, community-driven events, and growing service offerings. Cho and Zach have laid strong roots, and their passion for sustainable gardening is helping them blossom into a regional destination for both plants and connection.
