NDIS REGISTRATION UPDATE

So today is the 2nd of October and we are still yet to hear about the suggested update to the compliance and audit requirements for businesses wanting to register to provide supports within the NDIS.

WHAT WERE WE EXPECTING?

We understand that the changes will predominantly reduce the compliance and audit burden for companies offering low-risk supports.

To see which registration groups this is most likely to affect you can see the form at this link. 

Low-risk supports are indicated as requiring Verification for sole traders/partnerships.

WHEN WERE WE EXPECTING TO HEAR?

We were expecting to have an announcement on these changes by the middle of September. We are now hearing that this could potentially take much longer.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?

We understand that many businesses have a completion deadline approaching on October 31st 2019 and business owners are becoming anxious.

Our suggestion for businesses who may be on this compliance pathway (companies/bodies corporate who are offering low risk supports only) is to complete the Request for Registration Variation form which we have attached here. Email this form to registration@ndiscommission.gov.au
