After an overwhelming response from our first China Ready business seminar, we are proud to announce our second collaboration with ACSME’s David Thomas for local businesses looking to operate in China.

As a titan in our global economy, the likelihood of manufacturing, importing or exporting though China is high. How do you crack this market and how do you do it well? This seminar supported by the Department of Industry’s Business Connect program will give local businesses a unique opportunity to learn critical lessons in due diligence in Chinese deal-making.

Our MC and presenter David Thomas from ACSME and Think Global

Our MC and presenter David Thomas from ACSME and Think Global will share with you his years of experience operating in the region. He will share the importance of due diligence on your potential Chinese partner, supplier, investor or customer and how you actually do it.

He takes them on a journey to identify, build and facilitate long-term business and investment relationships and he arms them with the knowledge and tools to navigate the cross-cultural challenges.

Having worked on the ground for 30 years, David will also share practical examples, case studies and anecdotes that will surely amuse you. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear their entertaining stories and real-life case studies!

He will be joined by guest speaker Bruce McLaughlin, CEO of Sinogie Consulting. A China-focused research and consulting company, Sinogie was founded in Hong Kong in 2001 and now has offices in Sydney and Shanghai.

Bruce has helped foreign companies invest and trade with China, providing services including corporate investigation, market research, business matching and government policy analysis. With almost two decades' experience in working with Chinese corporations and government organisations, Bruce has built up a strong knowledge of just how these entities work.

Bruce is a former lawyer and Mandarin speaker, he has seen and witnessed the challenges of searching public, private and anecdotal information and working out what’s real, questionable and even totally made up!
